FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Why Athletic Transformation?

Emphasis is placed on the development of the athlete's physical and mental faculties, where the primary focus is on developing the athlete's basic movement skills, strength, mobility, balance, posture, and mental acuity before we even progress to the development of his/her sport specific skills! When an athlete is transformed in our program, they become self-motivated athletes. They gain three very important and significant attributes: Confidence, Competence and Competitiveness! Don't take it from us. Ask our athletes! Better yet, ask the parents of these athletes!

2. What is Your Training System?

It's called the "LLAMES System." It's a dynamic transformation system that does not follow or conform to any training protocol or regimen. We do not have standard daily, weekly or seasonal workouts. In our unorthodox approach, there are times where we let the athletes DICTATE their workout! Every athlete we train or have trained is a success story! We have so many examples (success stories) that we can share with you!

3. What are the Benefits of the LLAMES System?

  • Our training system is applicable for any sport.
  • We get RESULTS! Parents and athletes alike SEE and FEEL genuine results.
  • We emphasize movement and the development of all muscle groups, not only to become better athletes but also to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Our training program lasts only 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Our athletes are allowed to DICTATE their workout!
  • Our athletes talk often, smile or laugh a lot during training sessions.
  • Our athletes learn how to create and foster relationships.
  • We have a community of happy athletes and we teach them good citizenship.

4. How long are your training sessions and how often do they train?

Typical training and practice sessions lasts from 45 to 60 minutes, and usually two (2) to three (3) times a week. The only reason it will last longer is when we have to explain why the athlete is performing a particular drill or exercise and how it will benefit them.  Of course, an athlete can train as often as they want depending on their goals and expectations.

5. How quickly do you see progress or results?

No one can guarantee "instant" or "quick" results. However, some of our athletes have experienced athletic transformation after only 2 or 4 sessions!

6. Where do you conduct your training?

We train in an outdoor track all year long.  We believe that training outdoors allows for a better workout overall. For example, it allows an athlete to run at varying speeds from jogs, to striders, to a full sprint without the constraints of a limited indoor space, unless of course, you practice in an indoor track. In our opinion, it allows the athlete to easily adapt, focus and prepare for competitive pursuits.

7. What separates your training system from other sports training programs?

  • In our sports programs, the athlete is ALWAYS the winner! Many come to us looking to develop sport-specific skills. First, we evaluate the athlete's basic movement skills. Second, if the athlete have flaws or weaknesses in his/her basic movement skills, we ensure that the athlete has mastery of the basic movement skills. Third, once an athlete is confident about his/her mastery of the basic movement skills, then and only then do we progress to develop his/her sport-specific skills!
  • We care about the development of the athlete's physical and mental skills! In addition, our unorthodox approach, exercises and drills allows for quicker development.

If you simply want the athlete to play, then our program is not for you. But if you want your athlete to play better and smarter, then we have the sports training program for you!

8. Do you do weight training?

NO! There are a myriad of reasons why we don't, but we'll give you two. First, lack of supervision. Most athletes in the weight room are not properly supervised. If there are 20 athletes in the weight room with one trainer, do you really think your athlete will get the necessary attention to do it right? We've witnessed athletes getting injured in the weight room! Second, if weight training is not done properly and without adequate supervision, it can actually inhibit the athlete's physical and sport development!

We use medicine balls and other implements. However, the most any athlete will ever carry is 10 pounds!

We do mostly BODY WEIGHT training only.

9. We signed up for individual training but they train as a group?

  • The athlete is training with a group because we want to make sure that he/she has mastery of the basic movement skills. We want the athlete to be able to see how others perform and learn how to interact with other athletes. Collectively, most of the athletes in the group are playing different sports! It is with these interactions that all the athletes we train experience athletic transformation.
  • All the athletes will tell you that our program is so much fun! Again, once athlete gains confidence about his/her basic movement skills then we go to sport-specific skills! However, despite being in a group, we offer a personalized or particular insight and adjustments into the athlete's performance during training.

10. What kind of athletes do you train? Do you train sports teams?

YES! We train athletes participating in ANY sport! We've trained basketball and football players, lacrosse players, swimmers, golfers, marathon runners, gymnasts, fencers, etc. We train entire sports teams involved in different sports!
